Asha is a happy, affectionate girl who is settling beautifully into home life and proving to be an easy, fun companion to have around. She seems to be fully potty trained and house trained, and her foster reports that she’s been very respectful in the home — no destructive behavior, chewing furniture, or getting into things she shouldn’t. She absolutely loves other dogs and is always excited to make new friends and play. Asha has a social, playful personality, but she also has a cuddly side and is learning when it’s time to settle down and relax with her people. Soft plush toys and cozy blankets are some of her favorite things, and she’s happiest when she can curl up nearby after some fun. Asha also loves car rides and is always eager to hop in and go, though she gets excited enough that a seat belt clip helps keep her safely in place. She walks very nicely on leash without pulling or jumping, making outings with her enjoyable and easy. She is currently working on crate training and may bark or whine for a few minutes at first, but she settles down quickly and sleeps well once relaxed. Like many young dogs, she’s still learning appropriate manners and has already made great progress with things like jumping and mouthing. Friendly, playful, cuddly, and eager to keep learning, Asha is a wonderful mix of fun energy and loving companionship. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
