Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Stone! Stone is a tiny survivor with a spirit far bigger than his size. This young grey and white boy is equal parts playful mischief and calm wisdom - an adventurous explorer who somehow manages to be both the life of the party and the quiet observer in the room. He’s vocal when he wants your attention, generous with his deep, soothing purrs, and carries himself with a stoic confidence that makes it clear: Stone may be small, but he’s absolutely the boss. His story, however, hasn’t been an easy one. After being neutered, Stone contracted distemper at the clinic - a devastating illness that took his brother far too soon. Against the odds, Stone fought his way through. That fight left him with a condition called Megaesophagus, meaning the stricture of his esophagus will not allow him to swallow solid food. But here’s the remarkable part - Stone doesn’t let it define him. He eats a specific carefully managed liquid diet and goes about life like any other happy, curious young cat. He plays, he explores, he seeks affection, and he thrives. His condition is manageable with the right care which is a MUST. Stone is currently in foster care, where he is receiving the support he needs, but he deserves a forever home that understands his unique needs. He will require a dedicated adopter who will closely monitor his specific feeding routine and ensure he never, never has access to solid food - whether from pets or people. Because of this, he would do best as an only pet or in a home with another cat that shares his condition. In return, stone offers something truly special: a deep bond, a loving presence, and the quiet inspiration of a little life that refused to give up! His foster family is committed to helping him succeed and is more than happy to provide guidance, education, and ongoing support to ensure his new family feels confident in caring for him. Stone has already overcome more than most cats ever will. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the safe, loving home he’s been fighting for. If you believe in second chances and extraordinary little souls, Stone is waiting for you! Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it. We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year. Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
