At just 1 year old, Sassy has already been through a lot — but every week she’s showing us more of the amazing dog she’s meant to be. This sweet girl made her way from New Jersey and is now searching for the person willing to help her continue her journey. Beneath it all is an affectionate, loving dog who deeply wants connection and will make an incredibly devoted companion. As she settles into the world, Sassy is learning that she’s safe, but she still experiences some anxiety around loud noises and being left alone. Healing takes time, and she’ll need a home committed to helping her build confidence at her own pace. Sassy is looking for someone who can offer patience, consistency, and lots of love as she works through those big feelings. In return, you’ll get the privilege of watching an incredible dog blossom into the companion she’s always meant to be. She would thrive in a home with playmates and a job to do — whether that’s training, enrichment activities, adventures, or fun daily routines that keep her engaged and fulfilled. Sassy is smart, eager to connect, and wants to be part of the action. She doesn’t need someone perfect — she just needs someone willing to love her through the process. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
