Meet Buc‑ee! This 1‑year‑old pit bull has a heart every bit as big as his blocky, handsome head. He’s a social butterfly who loves meeting other dogs—he may pull with excitement at first, but once he gets his enthusiastic “hello” out, he drops into a goofy play bow and invites everyone to join the fun. He also joins multi‑dog playgroups regularly and fits right in with the crowd. Buc‑ee is a bouncy, joyful playmate, but the moment you sit on the ground, he melts into a total cuddle bug. He’s the perfect mix of silly, affectionate, and big‑hearted. He’s also been cat‑tested. After a bit of curious staring, he offered the cat a play bow too. With a confident, dog‑savvy feline friend, he could be a great match. Buc‑ee is a good fit for kids 12+ or younger kids who are comfortable around a big, playful dog. If you’re looking for a companion who brings both laughter and love, Buc‑ee might just be your guy. Buc-ee's adoption fee is $200, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1 Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
