April, our almost 6 month old blue dobie mix girly. - Diet: She eats 2 cups of food twice a day. - House Training: She is house-trained and has not had any accidents in a long while. - Activity Level: She is active and spends a lot of time outside playing or sunbathing. A typical day includes being up at 5:30 AM, breakfast at 7:00 AM, and dinner at 6:00 PM. She enjoys free play in a fenced yard and, depending on the weather, goes for 2+ mile runs on a bicycle attachment plus an evening walk. Socialization & Behavior: - People: She is good with kids and all adults. - Other Dogs: She is good with other dogs but is a rougher player. She loves playing chase and "keep away" with her foster siblings. - Other Animals: Her behavior with cats is unknown, but she has a low prey drive. She shows no interest in the neighbor's free-range chickens, squirrels, or rabbits. - Play: She enjoys chewing on sticks, balls, and bones. - Vocalization: She barks or talks occasionally. Training & Environment: - Crate Training: She is crate-trained and does great when left alone in her kennel. - Car Rides: She is a great traveler and typically just lays down during rides. - Obedience: She is currently working on basic obedience commands. - Fencing: She respects a physical fence, though she will stand on it to greet neighboring dogs. She does not require a fence for recall. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
