At just over 4 months old, Lucky is a boxer mix with an explorative spirit hiding under the calm demeanor of an older puppy. At home, he is polite and respectful of his surroundings, only ever playing with his toys in his designated play area. Outside, he is intensely curious about the world but can be quite cautious when meeting new faces because he was the runt of the litter. His favorite things in life right now are chewing on bones and spending time outside in the sun. Lucky is doing great with housetraining and consistently runs to the door when he needs to go. He is comfortable spending time in his crate during the day while his foster family is working and quietly sleeps the day away waiting for the evening when people are available to play. He is currently working on learning "sit" and "paw". Lucky is great with baths and handles nail trimmings like a champ. Lucky would thrive best in a household with a yard or with outdoorsy people as his dream is to be an entomologist and study bugs. Once introduced, Lucky is good with both cats and dogs in the house. As long as the other dog isn't too rough, he will invite them to play. Lucky gives cats a wide berth and waits patiently if they are in his way. He is good around children and would be a great family dog, however he may pick a favorite person.
