All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Lucy - She is a petite girl and as sweet as can be. Her foster mom recently had 2 cats for adoption in the home and anytime someone would come meet the other foster cat, Lucy would try her absolute best to win the potential adopter over. She knows what she wants and she wants to be adopted! She loves people and will gladly roll around on her favorite cardboard cat scratcher and rub up against you. She loves attention and affection. She is an absolute sweetie pie who has never met a stranger because she’s immediately friends with everyone she meets. She is shy around new cats but would likely do fine with one or two passive cats at most. Since she is shy around new animals, she would prefer to not live with dogs at this time unless they are small and will leave her alone. She much prefers the companionship of people over cats. All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
