Hi there, my name is Eleni. I am a 4-year-old, spayed Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 60lbs but I’m on a fitness journey with an ideal weight of 50lbs. I am as sweet as pie! I’m a friendly girl that may be a little shy at first, but with patience and love, I can become the most affectionate lovebug. My gentle nature truly shines. Once I really feel comfortable, my playful side can come out too! I would love nothing more than to form deep bonds with my new people and enjoy quiet moments, leisurely walks, soft pets, and being by your side. With a calm home and a kind heart, I'll blossom into a loyal, loving companion. I would prefer to go home with adults and dog savvy older kids and would love to meet the whole household along with any resident dogs before I go to my forever home. Here's how I did: I took Eleni for an offsite today, and we had a great time. She started off eager to go out, but didn’t want to get into the car, even using cheese. I ultimately needed to lift her in, but she was very calm for me while I did it. Once we got to my house, she had a great time sniffing every inch of the yard, rolling all over the lawn and driveway, and taking her time exploring the neighborhood on a couple of leisurely walks. She also enjoyed cozying up on the couch on a pile of fleece blankets. Overall, she was super sweet and got along really well with everyone in the family, including my husband and two daughters (ages 9 and 11), offering sniffs and kisses within about 5 minutes of meeting them. She was very well behaved on the walks and was totally unbothered by other people or dogs we encountered. She’s such a good girl! You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available . It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
