Meet Maggie. This mature awesome gal ended up at the shelter when her human passed away. Maggie was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor between one of her rear leg toes. Because of her age a conservative approach has been followed. Under this approach her tumor has shrunk significantly, and Maggie continues to live her best retirement life. Maggie's foster mom reports that Maggie is "just so much fun". Maggie has a knack for reminding her foster about mealtime especially when the "service" is late! Maggie loves belly rubs, playing with toys, cuddling, and car rides. Maggie loves to help out in the garden. Also, apparently earth worms are a delicacy (we will let you figure that one out!) Maggie is most definitely a hospice dog. Our rescue believes in quality vs. quantity of life and at the moment Maggie is thriving. Anyone who has experienced an "old" dog understands. We are seeking a special human who will give Maggie her next forever home.
