Meet Casey! Based on our best estimate, Casey is 2 years old and is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. His tail is almost always wagging — sometimes all it takes is looking at him for it to start going! Casey does great with children and other dogs. He loves being outside (as long as it’s not raining) and enjoys going on walks. He walks well on leash and has been to the dog park several times, where he happily plays with dogs of all sizes until he completely tires himself out. Casey is a smart boy who knows his name and responds well to it. He also knows basic commands like “sit” and “paw.” He’s not much of a barker unless he hears a siren and decides to join in. When he needs to go outside, he’ll gently tap you with his paw or rest his head on your leg to let you know. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet — they usually only keep his attention for a few seconds. Casey seems to be taking in the world like it’s all brand new, and he truly finds joy in the simple things. He is affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves attention. Once you start petting him, he’ll usually flop right over for belly rubs. Casey is very friendly with new people and gets comfortable quickly. He does still like to get face-to-face with people before they leave, but he’s working on his manners. The growth on Casey’s tail has been removed, and his “happy tail” has healed beautifully.
