Hi, I’m Gus! I’m 3.5 years old and spent my entire life in a house with tons and tons of other cats. Then one day, our owner left us all behind to fend for ourselves. It was so scary, but luckily a few days later someone found us all. My friend Constantine and I got to go to a rescue together in Queens and for the first time, I had a kennel to call my own and so many nice people coming in to take care of me and play with me. It took me a couple weeks to realize I wasn’t going to have to go back where I came from and slowly I started to show my personality. I’m what one of the volunteers calls a “love bug.” I really, really like getting scratches and will nuzzle against your hand to tell you where to go next. I never got those before. I show my thanks by rolling around and also purring—but very quietly. I would like to meet you and show you what a great addition I could be to your home! I’m fine doing the solo cat thing, meeting your existing pet or even getting to leave the rescue with one of my other friends!
