Austen (2-3 years old) Austen is a gentle black cat with green eyes. At first, he was extremely shy at the shelter, but now he has come out of his shell and enjoys lying on big, fluffy beds by large windows and visiting with people who stop by his room. Quick movements and loud noises still make him a bit uncertain, so a household that is calm and comforting would be best for Austen. He would love some hiding places, but he also likes to be sure that he gets his quota of pettings each day--so be prepared for him to remind you in his gentle and sweet way.
