Meet Charlie Charlie is an incredibly sweet and loving 12-year-old boy who was surrendered to the Baltimore County Animal Shelter and is now hoping for the second chance he truly deserves. This handsome senior may be older in years, but he is absolutely young at heart — full of joy, affection, and playful energy. For most of his life, Charlie saw the world through a blur with His eyelashes had been growing inward (entropion eyes), causing constant discomfort that he quietly endured without complaint. Since arriving at the shelter, Charlie finally received the surgery he needed, and now — for the first time in a very long time — he can truly see the world clearly. And he is making the most of every moment. Charlie is a wonderfully affectionate boy who adores cuddles, head bumps, and jumping up for pets. He absolutely loves attention and happily follows his people around like a loyal little shadow. He’ll greet you at the door, curl up in your lap, and remind you every day just how special the bond between a cat and their person can be. And don’t let his age fool you — Charlie is VERY playful! He absolutely LOVES interactive toys and lights up during play sessions, showing off his fun-loving personality and joyful spirit. Watching Charlie play is a reminder that happiness and curiosity never grow old. This sweet senior boy enjoys sunny windows, bird watching, companionship, and being involved in everyday life with his people. He would do best in a calm but active home where he can feel safe, loved, and included. Charlie does well with older children but would prefer to be the only four-legged member of the household so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. And yes — Charlie definitely has opinions about wet food, and he isn’t shy about sharing them. Charlie is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to walk straight into his forever home. After everything he’s been through, this joyful, cuddly, playful boy deserves a soft place to land and someone who will cherish him for the rest of his days.
