Meet Ryker, a handsome Lab/Pit/Hound mix with floppy ears, a brilliant mind, and a heart full of love. He's the kind of dog who turns heads wherever he goes—not just because he's adorable, but because his joyful personality is impossible to miss. Ryker is incredibly smart and loves anything that challenges his brain. Puzzle toys, treat games, and learning new tricks are some of his favorite activities. He's fully crate trained, potty trained, knows all his basic commands, can crawl on cue, and is currently mastering "roll over"—although he sometimes gets distracted halfway through by the irresistible urge to stop for a kiss. In fact, kisses are one of Ryker's specialties, and he's always happy to share them with the people he loves. When it's time for adventure, Ryker is ready to go. He loves long walks through wooded trails, eagerly investigating every rustling leaf, chirping bird, and woodland critter like a curious little naturalist. And if there's water nearby, you'll probably find him stretched out in it, soaking happily as though he's discovered his own private spa. Ryker is wonderful with children and loves making new canine friends. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has an easygoing, social personality. He's also learning that cats prefer a little personal space, even though he'd still love to invite them to play—or offer them a friendly kiss if they'd allow it. A game of fetch is another one of Ryker's favorite ways to spend time. He proudly brings the ball back every time, tail wagging with excitement, ready for the next throw. Ryker is looking for a family that wants an intelligent, playful, affectionate companion who will happily join them on every adventure before settling in for plenty of love and cuddles at the end of the day.
