About

Please contact Destiny Sibert ( DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org ) for more information about this pet. happy young girl ready to play! MORGAN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Morgan Best Guess for Breed: Golden retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of May 2026 SEX: Female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 39 lbs as of 3/1/26 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home. About Morgan: Morgan is an 8-month-old bundle of joy with a wagging tail, a playful spirit, and enough enthusiasm to brighten anyone's day. Affectionately nicknamed "Wiggle Butt," this happy girl loves meeting people, making friends, and being part of the action. Morgan is doing wonderfully with her leash manners. She walks politely by your side, sits at intersections, and is learning to calmly let people and dogs pass when they aren't interested in saying hello. She still gets excited by squirrels and birds and may pull occasionally when wildlife catches her eye, but overall she's a fantastic walking companion. When it comes to other dogs, Morgan is confident, social, and playful. She loves a good game of chase, wrestling with canine friends, and happily sharing toys—she'll drop a ball rather than argue over it. If another dog is too pushy, Morgan checks back in with her person before heading off to continue having fun. Morgan adores people of all ages. She has become a favorite companion to her foster family's 8-year-old daughter, who enjoys taking her on short walks, helping with potty breaks, and sharing plenty of snuggles. Morgan has even charmed an entire Girl Scout troop of 21 second- and third-graders, soaking up all the attention with her signature happy-go-lucky attitude. At home, Morgan is sweet, affectionate, and eager to be near her people. She's crate trained, happily settles in for bedtime, sleeps through the night, and will even take the occasional nap in her crate. Like many young dogs, she's still working through some separation anxiety and doesn't love being crated when her people leave. The good news? A dried sweet potato treat makes crate time much more appealing! Morgan will thrive with a patient, dedicated adopter who can continue building her confidence and help her with her separation anxiety. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate young dog who will keep you smiling, cuddling, and laughing every day, Morgan may be your perfect match.
