Meet Azly — equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, and chaos coordinator. Azly is around 1.5 years old and has a fun, puppy-like personality! She is a smart, friendly, active girl who has been making huge strides in her foster home. She’s thriving with structure, training, and engagement, and her personality shines more every week. She already knows her basic commands, has learned how to spin, and is continuing to work on focused heel training and impulse control. She’s incredibly trainable, food motivated, and loves working with her people during daily training sessions. She takes treats gently (food is the way to her heart) and is basically your second shadow in a furry body! Around the house, Azly has started earning more freedom and is now able to spend supervised time off leash on the main floor with the family and even the cat. She’s also learning that grooming tools like the dremmel aren’t nearly as scary as they first appeared (especially when snacks are involved). Azly is playful, energetic, and absolutely loves to run. She enjoys zooming around the yard on a long lead, playing games with her foster mom, and racing along the fence line with the neighbor dog. She would thrive with an active family that enjoys training, enrichment, and giving her appropriate outlets for both her brain and energy. Despite her goofy and athletic side, Azly also has a very affectionate personality. She loves being near her people, happily naps beside her foster mom while she works, and has fully embraced the role of professional family snuggler. If there’s an open spot next to someone on the couch, Azly will find it. She is still learning appropriate toy boundaries and can be a strong chewer, so durable toys and continued management around high-value items are important. With consistency and guidance, Azly continues to show how much potential she has. While she is learning to live with a cat, she still has a high prey drive and isn't recommended for a home with cats or small dogs, since she shows a strong interest in them at this time. This is improving with decompression and training, but we want to set everyone up for success, so strong boundaries is a must! Azly is looking for a forever family that will continue building on her training, appreciate her hilarious personality, and give her the structure, activity, and affection she thrives on. In return, she’ll provide endless entertainment, loyalty, and some truly elite-level cuddles. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six month subscription.
