About

Meet Chubbs — The Chillest Old Man Around Chubbs is a 6‑year‑old pit bull with a heart as big as his blocky head. After spending his entire life in a loving home, he suddenly finds himself navigating the world on his own for the first time — and he’s handling it like an absolute champ. He’s soaking up every bit of attention, every treat, and every cozy moment he can get. And bonus: he loves baths, which makes pampering him even easier. If you’re looking for a laid‑back companion who’s simply happy to be with you, Chubbs is your guy. He’s independent, easygoing, and perfectly content to hang out, relax, and enjoy the simple things in life. Chubbs prefers to be the only pet in the home — other dogs and cats aren’t really his style these days — but he absolutely adores people and is more than ready to bond with his new person. He’s got that classic “old man dog” vibe: steady, sweet, and wonderfully uncomplicated. Chubbs is ready for a warm place to land and someone who appreciates a mellow best friend. Could that be you? Chubbs's adoption fee is $0, sponsored by a person from the public. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1 Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _ When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! ACSKC Health Care for Each Adopted Pet Includes: Dogs: Preventatives for parasites, vaccines (Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip, behavioral assessment. Cats: Parasite treatment, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming for kittens, vaccines (Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip.
