He traveled via semi-truck, so you know he rides well in the car. He is a sweet boy if a little timid at first. He will need leash training and skills. Must have: An active family that can teach a dog not to pull on lead, a stable routine environment Exercise: Once Mateo settles in, he is VERY playful and will need walks and time to run around in the back yard. Best with: Women, though Mateo favors the ladies he is okay with guys too, he just likes the ladies. A home without another dog. Not ideal for: Multi-dog house holds. Energy level: High Mateo is a very playful boy looking for a home without another dog in it. He prefers woman over men but is not reactive or rude to guys, just timid. He loves to cuddle and play with people he trusts and he would love hikes! He needs leash training, and he would love the time to bond with you! Good with dogs: No, Mateo needs to be an only dog. Good with kids: We think Mateo be best in a home with adult only as he can be very timid to loud environments and noises. Cats: We would not suggest Mateo to a home with cats. UNK Fun fact: Mateo is a catch 22. He shows you his calm and sweet side during adoption and then once you get to know him better, he is wide open! Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
