Updated: 7/21/26 Dog Name: Mickey Sex : Male Estimated Breed : Blue Heeler/Chihuahua Mix Date of Birth : 11/27/2025 Approximate Weight : 30 lbs Spay/Neuter Status : Neutered Adoption Fee : $450 Description: Mickey is the kind of dog who is always ready to say "yes!" Whether it's mastering an agility course, romping around with his dog friends, or curling up next to you after a day of fun, this handsome boy is happiest when he's spending time with his people. This smart pup is eager to please. He's treat-motivated, has impressive recall for his age, and is already showing what an amazing partner he'll become with continued training. Mickey is still a puppy, which means he's looking for a family committed to helping him continue growing into the incredible dog he's meant to be. He thrives with positive reinforcement, patience, and plenty of opportunities to keep both his body and his brain busy! One of Mickey's favorite places? Doggy Daycare! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a doggy best friend! His other favorite place? The agility course! Mickey loves to run and play there! Because Mickey is a herding breed mix, he does use his mouthing as a way to communicate when he gets excited. It's a normal instinctive behavior that lacks aggression and does not cause injury, but because of this he'd do best with older children who understand his breed tendencies. Mickey also appreciates a little patience when meeting new people. Slow introductions help him build confidence, and once he realizes you're a friend, his sweet, affectionate personality shines! He's crate trained, keeps his crate clean, and is working hard on potty training. He loves being outside, is always ready for his next adventure, and would thrive with a family who enjoys staying active. Mickey has lived with cats, but he thinks everyone wants to play as much as he does, so he may be a little too enthusiastic for cats who prefer their personal space. More than anything, Mickey is looking for a family who is ready to make a lifetime commitment . He deserves a home that will continue teaching him and loving him through every stage of life. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and love you with his whole heart. We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog , which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.
