Jessa came to us as a stray alongside her mom and littermates at just five weeks old, and she has blossomed into the most cheerful, well-adjusted pup you could imagine. With her medium-length, irresistibly soft coat and that classic Pyrenees look, she is equal parts fluffball and love-bug! Jessa’s days are happily spent running, romping, and playing with her toys (which she’s happy to share!). She loves people and is thrilled meeting new friends of all ages, anyone willing to give her attention. She's been around cats, and has grown up socializing with dogs of all ages. She doesn’t dig, has shown no interest in escaping or climbing, and is equally happy indoors or out - a true 50/50 girl! Jessa is VERY smart, 100% housebroken, understands the word “no,” and is easily redirected when doing puppy behaviors that need to be corrected. She is currently learning her basic commands and making great progress. For treats, this girl has surprisingly refined taste - she absolutely loves apples and bananas! Jessa is a confident, fun, playful, joyful, and loving pup who finds the world delightful. She is an affectionate cuddle bug who is not a big barker, and loves to carry around her stuffed Santa dog toy. Jessa's ideal home is an active family with dogs, cats, and/or kids welcome - she loves them all! She will need a 5-foot securely fenced yard to keep her adventurous spirit safely contained, and a canine brother to play with and help show her the ropes. Dewormed, negative for heartworm, up-to-date on vaccinations and currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. This dog travels with an Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
