About

ADOPTION PROCESS Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application. Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check. 2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek). If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Meet Rosie – A Sweet Senior Girl Looking for Her Forever Home Rosie is an approximately 11-12-year-old sweetheart who was rescued from the MCACC euthanasia list by 2nd Chance Dog Rescue in late 2025. Now she's hoping to find the loving forever home she deserves for her golden years. Rosie is the definition of easygoing. She has a calm, gentle personality and is happiest lounging on a comfy bed, soaking up the sunshine, taking short strolls, or relaxing with one of her favorite bones. She loves everyone she meets and will happily sneak in a sweet kiss every now and then. She is house-trained, crate trained, uses a dog door, and rides beautifully in the car. Rosie does well with children and would be perfectly happy as your one and only dog, or she could share her home with another calm, mellow dog after slow, proper introductions. Like many senior dogs, Rosie has a few medical needs. She is hard of hearing due to chronic ear infections, needs eye ointment twice a day for dry eye, and takes an arthritis medication twice daily, which is easily given with her meals. If Rosie is placed in a foster home, the rescue will provide all of her food, supplies, and medical care. Rosie isn't looking for anything fancy—just a quiet home, a soft place to rest, and someone to love her. After everything she's been through, this wonderful senior girl deserves to spend the rest of her life knowing what it feels like to be cherished. Could you be the one to give Rosie the happy ending she's been waiting for?
