Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Junior! There are some cats whose stories stay with you forever. Junior is one of them! This big orange tabby boy was one of more than 30 cats rescued after his owner became too ill to care for them. We don’t know everything he experienced before that day, but we do know he missed out on so many of the simple things every cat deserves. In foster care, Junior discovered something heartbreaking in its sweetness - he learned how to play for the very first time. Watching this big, gentle boy chase a toy and realize it was okay to simply be happy was something none of us will ever forget! He also discovered loving hands, gentle pets, and the comfort of being someone’s friend. Today, Junior will happily roll onto his back, offering his fluffy belly as if to say, “I trust you”. He adores being petted and is as gentle and loving as they come. He prefers to keep all four paws on the ground rather than being picked up, and that’s okay - we all have our own ways of feeling safe. Because of the conditions he lived in, Junior has a chronic upper respiratory issue that may flare at times especially in times of stress, such as being at the rescue. It doesn’t require medication, just understanding and a calm, loving home where he can finally leave that stressful chapter behind. Now he deserves to know what it feels like to be cherished, to have a soft bed that is always his, a hand that reaches down just to pet him , and a family who sees beyond his past to the beautiful soul he’s always been. If you choose Junior, you won’t just be giving him a home - you’ll be giving him the life he should have had all along. Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).
