Meet Missy — Mama Dog Ready for Her Happy Ending Missy arrived at the shelter in November 2025 as a devoted young mama, caring for an entire litter of puppies. Now that every one of her babies has found a loving home, it's finally her turn to be the one who gets spoiled. This sweet girl loves to explore the world with her nose, taking in her surroundings at her own pace before happily trotting over for pets when she's ready for affection. Spend a little time with her and she just might lean in for a gentle face sniff — her own quiet, endearing version of a kiss. Missy recently went on a doggy day out, and after getting reacquainted with car travel, she was a perfect passenger the whole way. She visited a shady outdoor eatery, calmly greeted a resident off-leash dog, and politely accepted treats from an admiring coffee shop owner. She made two new dog friends and showed off her playful side with a few happy laps around the yard — but at her core, Missy is a chill, no-drama mama. When it was time to wind down, she found herself a cushion, settled in with a chew, and simply relaxed. That calm, easygoing presence is just who she is. Missy has a way of making you want to slow down and enjoy the moment alongside her. She's affectionate without being overwhelming, and she genuinely loves being with her people.
