About

Chili is estimated to be about 2 years old. Her DNA test is in her pictures! Chili has come a long way, she has learned how to relax inside and outside the home, she has been muzzle, leash, e collar and crate trained. Her foster has been working hard to teach her everything she can! Chili uses the door bell or barks at night if she needs to go out. She doesn't love the kennel, so we have a heavy duty kennel that she's in during the day when I am out of the house. She's gradually getting more used to it, but will still avoid coming inside if she knows she is going in the kennel. In the beginning we started playing one on one with the other dogs with a muzzle on and leashed so when she got overstimulated we could separate. The thing is she was so excited to be around the other dogs she would get so excited for the muzzle! Gradually we did more and more. Now she is integrated with everyone, but she does have guarding behaviors, so we are working on "making good decisions." Chili would do fine as an only dog with walks, or with experienced dog parents who are willing to slowly integrate (she took a full month to feel comfortable here).
