Hi, I’m Ducky. I just turned five, which feels like a good age to start over properly. I’m a big orange and white guy, built a bit like a marshmallow, and I’ve recently rediscovered how nice it is to feel comfortable in my own skin. For a while, things were confusing. I was itchy, losing my fur, and spending too much time outside trying to deal with it. It turns out I’m allergic to fleas. Once that was figured out and I got back indoors with proper care, everything started to change. My coat is coming back in soft, and I feel a lot more like myself. I’m still easing into things. I like to take my time and make sure everything is safe and predictable. A cozy window spot is one of my favorite places to be, but if you come over and offer some attention, I won’t turn it down. I give very solid head bunts and I mean them. I’m not a complicated cat. I just need a home where I can stay comfortable, keep up with my flea prevention, and continue figuring out that people can be trusted. I’m getting there.
