Hi, I’m Kung Pao ️—a little spicy name for a very scaredy-cat heart with big playful energy. I get along with other cats… even if I sometimes let them boss me around a bit. I’m still learning confidence, so yes, I might run and hide for just about any reason—but when I feel safe? I sing. Not loudly at first, just little brave songs that mean I’m finally comfortable. The truth is, I LOVE to play. I’ve got high energy, I’m super fun to watch, and I’m always ready for a game of chase, wrestling, or zoomies. Sometimes I get carried away and do a little “play bite,” but I’m a very polite guy—if you say “ow!” I immediately panic, apologize, and start licking you like I’ve committed a terrible crime. I used to be so shy that my person helped me trust them by petting me during mealtimes… and now I’ve upgraded that routine. If anyone comes near my food dish, I instantly insert myself between you and it because obviously what you really need is attention, not food. I’ll explore when I feel brave, but I don’t go far—and I always come back to my safe person, especially if food is involved. I like to nap nearby, but I’m more of a “beside you” guy than an “on you” guy (for now). I’ve taken my time coming out of my shell, but I’m finally ready for a real home instead of just a room. With patience, understanding, and love, I’ll keep growing into the confident, playful companion I’m meant to be.
