She raised her babies, kept them safe, and watched every one of them grow up and move on to the next chapter of their lives. Meanwhile, Vanille stayed behind. She recently turned 2 years old in rescue. Not in a home. Not with a family. In rescue. And for the past year , she has been waiting at Pure Joy Cat Café while countless other cats have come and gone around her. They've been chosen. They've gone home. They've found their people. Vanille is still waiting. The hardest part is that she isn't being overlooked because she isn't wonderful. She's being overlooked because she's shy. Vanille is incredibly gentle and sensitive. She finds comfort in quiet spaces and takes time to trust. But once she feels safe, you'll discover the sweetest little soul. She rubs against your legs, accepts gentle pets, and lets out the tiniest, softest meows when she wants more food or fresh water. She doesn't need someone to "fix" her. She doesn't need someone to force affection. She simply needs someone willing to love her exactly as she is. A quiet cat. A gentle cat. A cat who has spent two birthdays waiting for someone to choose her. The truth is, Vanille may never be the cat who runs up to greet every stranger.
