She is a shy girl at first, but she has spent the past year in foster care figuring out that people are actually pretty wonderful. These days she is waiting by the bedroom door most mornings for her chin scritches and face rubs, and she gets truly excited when she hears the sound of a wet food can opening — a girl who knows what she loves and is not afraid to show it. When she is not busy charming her foster family, Katie is most likely stretched out in a sunny window keeping a close eye on the birds outside, which has become one of her favorite pastimes. At nine years old she has grown into a sweet, curious girl who is ready for a calm place to call her own for good. Katie would do best as your one and only kitty in a quiet home without dogs or children, and the person who gives her that is going to feel very lucky indeed.
