Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Millie! She’s is a beautiful senior tabby girl whose world changed in ways she never could have understood. For years, Millie had a home, a routine, and most importantly, the person she loved. Then one day, everything changed when her owner had to move into a nursing home. Suddenly, the only life Millie had ever known was gone! When she arrived at the rescue, she struggled. She was confused, grieving, and unsure why the person she loved wasn’t coming back for her. While time has helped heal some of her heartbreak, Millie is still waiting for what she needs most - a home to call her own again. Beneath her cautious nature is a sweet, quiet, affectionate girl who loves gentle pets and the comfort of being near someone she trusts. Being picked up makes her nervous, so she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. Once she feels safe, her gentle personality shines through. Millie will need a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust isn’t rushed. She would do best as the only pet in the home. Respectful older children who can give her the peace and understanding she needs would be fine. Senior cats like Millie are so often over looked, yet they have some of the biggest hearts. She has already lost the home she loved and has spent far too long waiting for another chance. Her golden years shouldn’t be spent waiting in a rescue. They should be spent curled up beside someone who loves her, reminding her every day that she is home again. Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
