I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:7 Leroy is a high-energy, social young dog who is playful, people-friendly, and very dog-social in group settings. He enjoys interaction and tends to warm up quickly, showing a loose, happy demeanor once he has a chance to decompress. He is very active and thrives on play, especially with other well-matched dogs, where he enjoys chase-style games and rough-and-tumble play. With people, he can be affectionate and engaging, often checking in for pets and attention once settled. Leroy is still learning leash skills and basic structure, so he benefits from continued training, consistency, and outlets for his energy. He does best with active adopters who can provide exercise, enrichment, and ongoing socialization. Due to his size, strength, and working-breed mix, he will do best with breed-experienced adopters comfortable managing high-drive dogs and providing structured guidance. He would likely thrive in a home with another compatible dog or an active routine that meets his physical and mental needs.
