Hatch Date: Unknown Kiwi, Bleu, Coco, Budge, and Rita are a group of five Budgies. One male and four females. They will be adopted out together. Rita, Coco, Bleu, and Kiwi came into the rescue from a woman who had inherited them from a relative. Unfortunately, she felt she couldn't give them the attention they deserved. Budge joined the group when surrendered as an individual budgie. Rita is male, but the others are all female. No nests are present, and there has been no egg laying in the 12+ months they've been in foster care with us. They will take millet from their foster mom's hand, and while they are a bit nervous when the foster family is nearby, they have become accustomed to people reaching in and out of the cage to clean it and give them food/water. The Budgies love to chew up their toys and cuttlebone. They eat a healthy diet of fresh chop and pellets. They have plenty of free flying time, and tend to put themselves to bed at night. These four are a happy little family that offers a lot of entertainment to anyone in the room! They start their talking chattering when people are nearby, and seem very open to interaction if the right family is willing to work with them. This group is being fostered in Hammonton, NJ. They will require an in-person visit before adoption. We do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds are living in private volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
