About

Looking for your next furry BFF? We don’t have perfect dogs — but we do have dogs who are perfect for the right someone. Our goal is to match each dog with the home that fits them best and each home with the dog that will sing to your heart. Ready to adopt? Complete an application at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application returned 5 2 25 housetraining, barking, won't crate Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 44 lbs Height: 26 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 - 2026 summer special fee sponsored thank you donors! Fence needed? No, but sweet Trooper has never lived without a fence and would love one. Want To Know More About Me? Text Trooper to 864-441-9075 for my full story and photos - we'll send everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Trooper. One of our longer-term residents. The goldendoodle with a penchant for destroying toys, a mouth that is rarely still or quiet, and a heart of gold. He's quirky. He's different. He's going to be a great pet in the right home. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A home committed to crating. He is intelligent and curious, and like many young dogs, he explores with his mouth. Exercise: Good for daily walks and hikes, but not a marathon runner. Best with: Another dog in the home. Trooper benefits tremendously from canine companionship and gains confidence by following a steady role model. Not ideal for: Shared walls. Trooper can be vocal when left alone. Energy level: Active and on the go - age is just a number for Trooper. Trooper may not immediately rush into a stranger’s arms, but he does love people and happily accepts affection. With clear boundaries and lots of love, he will reward his family with deep devotion and a heart full of gratitude. Good with dogs: Yes, he needs them. Good with kids: Honestly, 50/50. Trooper has never lived with kids. He's a bit of an odd duck who is probably better suited for an adults-only home. Cats: Trooper hasn't been exposed to cats. If you have them, we can test him. For now, he is happy playing in the fields with big dogs. Fun fact: In an environment that caters to Trooper's need he is the equivalent to a gentle teddy bear. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
