With his striking orange and white coat and an irresistible personality to match, Scottie is a two year old Domestic Shorthair who has a remarkable gift for capturing hearts and making everyone around him feel like the luckiest person in the room. Curious, adventurous, and full of life, this boy is truly one of a kind. Scottie loves people, loves attention, loves being brushed, and loves nothing more than curling up in a lap or tucking himself in at the foot of the bed at the end of a big day. He is endlessly entertained by birds and squirrels outside the window, will gleefully chase any bug that crosses his path, and is passionate about tunnel toys, anything on a stick, and human interaction in all its forms. He once had a treadmill that he absolutely loved, typical of his adventurous and enthusiastic personality. He is going through a bit of a transitional period as his family prepares to move and has found all the changes a little unsettling lately, which is completely understandable. Once he is in a calm and stable new home he will absolutely flourish, because that joyful and charming personality is very much still in there and ready to shine. Scottie would do beautifully in an active and loving home where he gets plenty of play and interaction, whether that means playful children to entertain him, a younger or female feline companion to pal around with, or simply devoted humans who want a cuddly and completely captivating ginger cat to share their lives with. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
