It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MELISSA MCALL, and her 3 daughters (LYDIA MARTIN, TRACY STEWART and ALLISON ARGENT) were rescued from the shelter. Rescue mama was at the shelter picking up kittens for one of her fosters when she saw MELISSA MCALL and her family. They were so sickly looking. Needless to say, the rescue mama picked them all up before they were euthanized. She could not leave them to their doom. Meet MELISSA MCALL, a delightful adult diluted calico from the shelter whose soft patchwork coat and spirited personality make her unforgettable from the very first hello. This independent girl has a wonderfully feisty streak balanced by a shy and thoughtful side, creating a charming combination that makes every small moment with her feel special. MELISSA MCALL enjoys observing the world around her before deciding when she is ready to join the fun, and once she feels comfortable, her playful nature begins to shine beautifully. MELISSA MCALL’s journey has shown just how resilient she truly is. She arrived at the shelter with her kittens during a difficult period when they were all managing health challenges and needed extra care. Through patience, support, and plenty of love, MELISSA MCALL revealed herself to be a strong and determined cat who still knows how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. One of her favorite daily routines is mealtime, especially when wet food is involved. Even though MELISSA MCALL is pleasantly plump, she still enjoys playful moments and happily engages with toys, exploring corners of the room, and entertaining herself in funny little ways. Her independence means she appreciates having space to relax on her own terms, yet she also offers quiet companionship that many cat lovers truly value. She would thrive in a caring environment with patient people who understand that trust grows steadily and beautifully over time. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
