It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. CARMILLA and her siblings (ALLUCARD - ATREUS - ISAAC) were turned into the shelter. We have no real idea what their life was before coming to the rescue. She was hissy and dirty! So CARMILLA and ISAAC were adopted together back in 2021 as small kittens. To their dismay, they were returned to us in 2026. It was no fault of their own. The woman decided she was moving back home and couldn't take her cats. CARMILLA is a beautiful calico with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines. She absolutely loves pets and rubs, happily accepts being picked up, and enjoys spending time with her people. Sadly, CARMILLA was recently returned to our care after five years in a home through no fault of her own. Her adopter moved out of state and was unable to take her cats along. This unexpected change has left CARMILLA feeling a little sad and confused, but she's ready to find a forever family that will love her for the rest of her life. Despite everything she's been through, CARMILLA still has a playful side and never says no to treats! She was returned with her beloved brother, ISAAC, a big, handsome boy who is also shy at first but incredibly loving once he gets to know you. CARMILLA is looking for a patient, caring home where she can feel safe, be showered with affection, and never have to wonder where she belongs again. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
