If you are looking for a gentle, polite, and low-maintenance best friend, look no further than Luna. She is a 9 year old Shepherd mix who weighs about 45 pounds. She is truly an "easy" dog in so many ways and is ready to bring a ton of love to her forever home! Luna is the ultimate houseguest. She is completely house-trained and crate-trained, and she happily enjoys her quiet, alone time when you need to handle your day. When it’s time for fun, she loves nothing more than lounging with her people and soaking up affection from kids. Walking Luna is an absolute breeze. She has excellent leash manners and knows exactly how to handle herself in public. If she sees other dogs on a walk, she is perfectly content to just give them their space and keep moving, or she will greet them politely if they approach her. Luna is at her absolute best when she gets to be the center of your world. Because she wants all your love to herself, she is looking for a wonderful forever home where she can be the only pet. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
