I built Rescue a Pet because I couldn't find a simple website that let people discover and share rescue animals from smaller, independent shelters.
Most rescue pets aren't at the big-name organizations — they're at small local rescues that don't have the marketing budget to reach adopters. Rescue a Pet pulls data from RescueGroups.org, which aggregates listings from thousands of independent rescue organizations across the country.
